NaThanya Ferguson serves because the supervisor of the USPTO’s Workplace of Innovation Outreach, which focuses on outreach to unbiased inventors, small companies, entrepreneurs, and underrepresented communities of innovators throughout America.

Ferguson joined the USPTO in 1989. Throughout her 33-year tenure on the company, she has labored as a contracting officer consultant, lead patent analyst for the Patent Course of Reengineering initiative, strategic planning challenge supervisor for the Workplace of the Commissioner for Patents, and challenge supervisor for the Nationwide Council for Increasing American Innovation (NCEAI).

Ferguson has obtained quite a few awards, together with a Division of Commerce Gold Medal in 2015 for her contribution to the progressive and collaborative implementation of the First Inventor to File statutory provisions of the America Invents Act, a Division of Commerce Distinguished Profession Award in 2011 for continued excellent service, and a Silver Medal Award in 1999 for her contribution to the event and implementation of the Patent Course of Reengineering initiative.

Ferguson holds a Bachelor of Science diploma in enterprise and administration from Johns Hopkins College and a Grasp’s Certificates in challenge administration from Administration Ideas and Regis College.
